EAUI项目是学院与日本早稻田大学亚太研究科、新加坡南阳理工大学社会科学学院、泰国法政大学国际事务学院及韩国高丽大学政治学与国际关系学系五所学校开展的暑期班项目。在此框架下，我院拟选派5名学生参加2025年暑期在日本早稻田大学举办的暑期班活动，工作语言为英文。

三、项目主题： Confronting Challenges and Crises: East Asia at the end of the 1st quarter of the 21st Century

Overview
The world at the end of the first quarter of the 21st century is far from what many envisioned at its beginning. We are witnessing intensified backlashes against economic globalization and liberal international order. Economic polarization and political grievances have prompted the resurgence of economic protectionism, rekindling wars and conflicts, and ultimately posing significant threats to democratic governance, national security and human life. In addition, the return of President Trump in the US presents new economic and political challenges for nations around the world.
East Asian countries face these global challenges alongside unique regional issues. Rapid population aging and declining fertility rates have created demographic crises, undermining economic growth and straining social security systems. Political instability, ethnic conflicts, and territorial disputes continue to disrupt national development and affect international relations. Trump 2.0 not only poses economic threats but also heightens political tension among East Asian countries. Shifts in global economic power and the evolving geopolitical landscape have necessitated the formation of new political alignments while reviving older ones to ensure national security.
This summer school invites experts from leading universities in the five East Asian countries of the EAUI consortium to present and lead discussions on the pressing issues facing their respective countries and the region as a whole. The program includes three days of lectures, one day of fieldwork, and one day of symposium.

五、项目费用：北大国关学院负责支付北京至东京往返机票费用、在东京的住宿费用；学生个人支付签证费、保险费、当地餐食费及在东京的日常花费。
